country life dreaming

i can’t stop thinking about this place!

nestled just outside of my favourite country town, the Red Brick Barn is a two-story guesthouse that looks like it’s been standing for centuries, when it fact it’s just a few years old! the owners built it using reclaimed bricks – in fact, everything in the Barn is second hand! it’s like a vintage dream!

i can imagine myself waking up to that gorgeous sunlight

sitting down here with hot cup of coffee

maybe being brave enough to use the outdoor shower/tub
(probably not in winter though…)

having an afternoon nap here (or just owning that quilt!!)

preparing delicious hearty meals

& i just want this to be my bathroom…please!

just imagine being surrounded by this beauty everyday?!

i’m in “i-want-to-live-in-a-barn-in-the-country” mode (again…hahaha yes yes, this happens often! just ask poor Mike!), but after seeing this place, do you blame me?
pretty sure i need a trip out to Chewton to stay here

so much has changed yet so much has stayed the same

the world's at your feet

i logged into polyvore for the first time in four years (four years?!! how does that even happen??) to put together a few sets as outfit inspiration for my upcoming trip…but after browsing through my previous sets i’m left feeling amused that although so much has changed, so much has stayed the same.

let's disappear...

Other Pretty Things – Valentine’s Edition

i was so sidetracked with Mikes arrival home that i managed to forget that Valentine’s Day is next week!
while i love love, Valentine’s Day isn’t a big celebration for us (i don’t even know why actually…maybe i need to bring it back πŸ˜‰ hehehe), but i thought i’d put together a mini edition of other pretty things – Valentine’s Day style!
The Glasshouse Candle in tahaa is our favourite – hands down! Mike actually discovered it when walking past a store to meet me after work. it makes me think of freshly baked cookies whenever i smell it – just delicious!
and i’m not even sure how i found the ‘We Belong in San Francisco’ print by little canoe, but it just sums us up so well!
the swedish hasbeens, giant dwarf constellation crown & bottle (or 10!) of the chandon sparkling rose…well, they’re just a few little things i would love to make my own πŸ˜‰

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

hope you have a happy valentine’s day
